The Community Pantry

Supporting our community.

Bathurst City Centre is proud to support our local community through the Community Pantry — a simple way for customers to give back and help families and individuals who may be doing it tough.

In partnership with The Little Pantry, this initiative provides vital food relief to members of our community, ensuring access to essential groceries in a welcoming and dignified way.

How the Community Pantry Helps

The Little Pantry is a community food pantry service that is open to everyone. Each week, there are over 100 grocery items available, including pantry staples, with fresh fruit, vegetables and bread also offered at no additional cost.

Every donation helps make a real difference—whether it’s easing weekly grocery costs or providing reassurance that support is available when it’s needed most.

What Can I donate?

We welcome donations of:

  • Unopened, non-perishable food items

  • Canned goods (ring-pull cans preferred)

Your generosity helps keep the pantry well stocked with items that are easy to access and distribute.

Important: Check Dates before Donating

To ensure the safety and quality of food provided, we kindly ask customers to check dates before donating:

  • Any item past its ‘use by’ date must be discarded

  • Any item more than 9 months past its ‘best before’ date must be discarded

This helps ensure all donated items are safe and suitable for distribution.

Thank you for giving back

By supporting the Bathurst City Centre Community Pantry, you’re helping create a stronger, more connected community—one donation at a time.

Thank you for your kindness and for supporting those in need ๐Ÿ’›
